Thank you for your interest in the Snowman Race, happening on December 20th, 2023 in San Jose.
The Snowman Race is a triathlon that starts with a 1 mile run through the snow-dusted streets of San Jose. After that comes a 5k swim in Lake Tahoe, followed by a 10k bike ride back to the start line at San Jose State University.
Participants can choose from three different categories: kids ages 5-15, adults ages 16-40, and adults ages 41 and older. The race is open to both men and women, so grab your friends and get ready for an epic day of fun!
This event is perfect for anyone who wants to test their endurance before winter comes. We hope to see you there!
This is a fun, local triathlon that takes place in San Jose. It’s also an official race of the USA Triathlon Federation.
The event will take place on December 20th, 2023, at 8am. The swim will be held in Almaden Lake; the bike ride will be a loop around the city streets; and the run will be along Almaden Boulevard.
The race fee is $45 per participant, with a maximum of 400 competitors accepted.
All participants must wear a wetsuit during their swim, as well as goggles and earplugs. They must also bring their own pumps for inflating their tires prior to biking and running. A bike pump and preparations training are recommended but not required—we will have one available at registration for those who don’t have one already! The event organizer cannot guarantee that any participant’s equipment will be safe from damage or theft during this event—please keep this in mind when deciding whether or not you’d like to participate!
Prizes will be awarded for first place overall male/female winners in each category (open age group), as well as for top three finishers in each category.
